Background:
Santa Fe Lake Park is a county park located at 24500 NE SR 26, Melrose, FL 32666 and includes a boat ramp with access to the 5,850-acre lake which is located entirely in Alachua County. Alachua County Parks Department has recently installed a play area, and a new restroom will soon be constructed close to the play area. The septic system will be an enhanced system to treat nutrients to a level that is more protective of the lake compared to a traditional septic system. The system will be an Aerobic Treatment Unit (ATU) which will require an annual maintenance contract with an approved septic hauler and will have some energy demands associated with the pumps.
