Description:
Third Amendment to the Agreement with Federal Engineering, Inc for Radio System Consulting Services, RFP 17-670. This amendment modifies the Scope of Service of the Agreement to have Federal Engineering provide on-call technical support to the County as it continues to develop an agreement with the City of Gainesville (City) and Gainesville Regional Utilities (GRU) to acquire and operate the Trunk Radio System.

Approve the Third Amendment to the Agreement with Federal Engineering, Inc for Radio System Consulting services and authorize the Chair to sign the amendment.

Prior Board Motions:

December 7, 2015, Joint City/County Commission meeting, both commissions authorized the Radio Management Board (RMB) to hire a radio system consultant.

November 14, 2016, Joint City/County Commission meeting, both commissions authorized the Radio Management Board to obtain a radio system consultant.

October 10, 2017, County Commission approved the RFP ranking and authorized staff to negotiate an agreement.

December 12, 2017, County Commission approved Agreement #10760 with the top ranked firm, Federal Engineering, to provide public safety radio system design and engineering consultant services on behalf of the Radio Management Board RFP.

May 28, 2019, County Commission approved the First Amendment to Agreement #10760 to initiate Phase II of the Agreement.

December 14, 2021, County Commission approved the Second Amendment to Agreement #10760 to initiate Phase III of the Agreement.
