Background:

The NewboRN program is the result of the Children's Services Advisory Board's (CSAB) strategic approach to ensure all children are ready for success in kindergarten. The  NewboRN program and contract was procured through a competitive RFP (Request for Proposal). The CSAB evaluated the proposal and found it met the RFP criteria. The CSAB subsequently recommended entering into an agreement with the vendor, Healthy Start of North Central Florida, Inc. The purpose of the first amendment to the original agreement was to modify the project budget. The original agreement executed on January 9, 2018 expires September 30, 2018 and includes a provision for up to five additional one year renewals.  The second amendment extended the project term through September 30, 2019.
