Approve the Sole Source and issuance of Purchase Order 2019-00001811 to, Strykers Sales Corporation, in the amount of $61,704.44, for the replacement of four (4) stretchers.
This purchase is exempt from the County's competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Section 22.11(5) of the Alachua County Purchasing Code, which permits the use of Sole source purchases as provided in Section 22.12 of the Purchasing Ordinance.

Background:
There are four (4) rescue units scheduled for replacement in FY19. The new units are have the Performance Load Locking System stretcher bracket system. This system is not compatible with our current stretchers which are 10+ years old. The stretchers cannot be upgraded or retrofit to work with the new units.
Funds exists within the Fire Rescue EMS operating budget however, the funds need to be transferred to the capital category. The purchase order and sole source require Board approval because the amount exceeds $50,000.00.
There are seven (7) remaining stretchers that will require future replacement as the rescue units are replaced. The total cost to replace four (4) stretchers is $61,704.44 which includes a $10,000.00 credit for trade-in value of four obsolete stretchers.
