Approve the issuance of Purchase Order 2020-1371, to Strykers Sales Corporation, in the amount of $103,820.78, for the purchase of seven (7) Power Pro XT Stretchers and accessories.

Prior Board Motions:

19-0521 December 10, 2019 - Agreement with the State of Florida for the Medicaid Managed Care Payment and Intergovernmental Transfer (IGT) Program recognized the unanticipated revenue and allocated $105,000 to the replacement of seven (7) stretchers.

An estimated allocation from the Medicaid Managed Care Payment program of $105,000 to replace seven (7) stretchers was approved by the Board on December 10, 2019 in line item 001.54.5450.526.64.00.  The actual cost to replace the stretchers is $103,820.78.

Background:

There are seven (7) remaining rescue units that will be replaced.  The new units will have the Performance Load Locking System stretcher bracket system.  This system is not compatible with our current stretchers which are 10+ years old.  The stretchers cannot be upgraded or retrofit to work with the new units.

 

Unanticipated revenue from the Medicaid Managed Care Payment program was recognized and an estimated $105,000.00 allocated for the purpose of replacing the stretchers.  The total cost to replace the seven stretchers is $103,820.78.

 

This purchase is exempt from the County's competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Section 22.11(5) of the Alachua County Purchasing Code, which permits the use of Sole source purchases as provided in Section 22.12 of the Purchasing Ordinance.
