Description:
As of March 27, 2020, Alachua County is in a declared local state of emergency due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic; and applicants have informed the County that due to restrictions, and uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, they will be unable to hold their events and expend their grant funds by the end of the Agreement, September 30, 2020. Additionally, applicants have made reasonable expenditures to advertise and promote events that have been canceled in the interest of public safety, and it is additionally requested that these funds be reimbursable.

Extend the term of all of the Nature and Culture Destination Enhancement grant awards previously approved by the Board for the FY 2020 grant cycle, which includes an amendment to all executed grants contract, for an additional year period and approve reasonable allowable expenditures incurred under said grant contracts for events that were cancelled due to COVID-19, and authorize the County Manager to execute agreements.
